I’m Joe Ravita owner of Empire Music.

In 2002, Empire Music was started with the simple goal of providing the highest quality guitars, amps, accessories and services with a  one-on-one personal approach.  Each day our staff has strived to make sure that everyone who walks into Empire Music has an amazing experience.  This approach has allowed us to serve thousands of customers with a passion that will be hard to find elsewhere. 

Since our inception, we have grown from a small 800 square foot store to a 7,000 square foot guitar player’s dream.  We are Pittsburgh’s premier choice for guitar players from beginner to advanced.  Our inventory is so unique because each guitar is selected with the customer in mind.  In addition, we have one of the country’s finest acoustic guitar showrooms.  You will be able to see the region’s most amazing selection of Taylor, R. Taylor and Martin guitars. 

As we have continued to grow in terms of inventory, we have grown in other ways as well.  Empire Music offers Pittsburgh’s #1 rated Music Lesson Program.  We have 17 teachers on staff that teach over 350 lessons per week on guitar, bass, piano, vocals, and drums.  Our professional teaching staff is unparalleled.  They take the pride and passion of serving our customers that you will find in every experience throughout our store.
